ENTOMBED Signs with CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS; New Album Title, Artwork Unveiled

Swedish metal veterans ENTOMBED have inked a deal with Century Media Records. The band's tenth album, "Back To The Front", will be released on October 29 (one day earlier internationally). The CD was recorded at Studio Bohus (ABBA, EUROPE) in Kungälv, Sweden with producer Roberto Laghi (IN FLAMES, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR). The cover artwork was painted by Zbigniew Bielak (WATAIN, VADER) and can be seen below. A press release states: "Don't be afraid that it will sound like ABBA — it's 666% true to the ENTOMBED everybody loves. METAL CHURCH Signs With RAT PAK RECORDS

Reunited METAL CHURCH — Ronny Munroe on vocals, Kurdt Vanderhoof and Rick Van Zandt on guitars, Steve Unger on bass, and Jeff Plate on drums — has inked a deal with Rat Pak Records. The band's tenth studio album, "Generation Nothing", will be released in the early fall via Kurdt's label Body Of Work Recordings in conjunction with Rat Pak. According to Vanderhoof, "Generation Nothing" — which was recorded at Kurdt's English Channel studio in Washingtion — marks a "return to [METAL CHURCH's] classic metal sound. It has elements of the first album and 'The Dark', but still embraces the new sound of the band without chasing the past." Munroe said in a recent interview with Metal Assault that the new METAL CHURCH effort would contain material that is "very reminiscent of the old days with some stuff that's very 'now.'" He added: "There's a bit of… I'm not going to say 'prog' because it's not, but there's a couple of elements in there that are a little bit progressive. For the most part, out of this batch of songs, they really sound more reminiscent of the early days than anything we've done before with this lineup. This excites me very much, and I think the fans are really going to dig it." ARTILLERY Signs With METAL BLADE RECORDS

Danish thrash metal veterans ARTILLERY have inked a deal with Metal Blade Records. The band's new album has already been recorded and in the process of being mixed and mastered. The CD was tracked at Medley Studios in Copenhagen with producer Søren Andersen and will include such songs as "Anno Requirem", "Dies Irae", "Define Your Sins" and"Wardrum Heartbeat". Washington, D.C. metallers DARKEST HOUR have inked a worldwide deal with Sumerian Records. The band's new full-length album will be released in 2014. DYING FETUS Re-Signs With RELAPSE RECORDS, Announces North American Headlining Tour

Death metal powerhouse DYING FETUS has announced a North American headline tour for this fall. The trek kicks off October 5 in Wilmington, North Carolina and runs through November 2 in Springfield, Virginia. The tour features support from EXHUMED and DEVOURMENT, as well as WAKING THE CADAVER (October 4-19), ABIOTIC and RIVERS OF NIHIL (October 26 - November 2). Special VIP packages that include a general admission ticket, an exclusive herbal grinder, a meet-and-greet with the band, limited-edition 20th-anniversary poster, and VIP souvenir laminate will be available for purchase here. CARCASS Signs With NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS

Reactivated British extreme metal legends CARCASS have inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Records for the release of their comeback album,"Surgical Steel". Due in the fall, the CD was mixed by Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, ACCEPT, EXODUS, ARCH ENEMY) after the project's producer, Colin Richardson (FEAR FACTORY, MACHINE HEAD, NAPALM DEATH, SLIPKNOT, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE), quit the project two weeks into the mixing process. During a March 2013 concert at the Underworld in London, CARCASS bassist/vocalist Jeff Walker claimed thatRichardson walked away from the mix in order to work on the newTRIVIUM album. Reunited SANCTUARY Signs With CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS

Reunited '80s cult metal outfit SANCTUARY has inked a deal with Century Media Records. The band's "comeback" album — tentatively titled "The Year The Sun Died" — is scheduled for release before the end of the year. In 2010, four of the founding SANCTUARY members — Warrel Dane, Jim Sheppard, Lenny Rutledge and Dave Budbill — came together for a few select reunion performances. At first, it was just going to be a handful of shows, but the response and chemistry on stage was so overwhelming that the guys changed their minds. Now, some 20 years after they left off,SANCTUARY will continue with their unique mix of U.S. power metal, hard rock and progressive elements and begin work on a new LP. To complete the lineup, Brad Hull (FORCED ENTRY) will be filling in for former guitar player Sean Blosi.
