Released on Febraury 28, "Kings Of Metal MMXIV" is a completely new recording with many surprises, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the release of "Kings Of Metal" and MANOWAR's following world tour.
Already a significant force with international success since their debut album "Battle Hymns", the "Kings Of Metal" release in 1988 and the following world tour in 1989 catapulted MANOWAR into a new sphere. Songs like "Heart Of Steel", "Kings Of Metal", "Hail And Kill" and "Blood Of The Kings" became instant classics, celebrated since by metal fans all over the world. For "Kings Of Metal MMXIV", MANOWAR have recorded these timeless metal anthems with new arrangements and their signature "larger-than-life" sound that sealed their place in heavy metal history.
"Our fans have made us the 'Kings Of Metal', and with this tribute to one of their favorite albums, we honor them and thank them for their unparalleled support and loyalty!" said MANOWAR vocalist Eric Adams.
"Kings Of Metal MMXIV" features nine main tracks packed with face-melting metal, plus nine bonus tracks with over 40 minutes of additional music.
"We have pushed man and machine to the maximum level to honor the original recordings that we all love, and to add new aspects and surprises that give this new album its own character," said MANOWAR bassist and producer Joey DeMaio. "The sound is again as massive and majestic as it has always been," he continued.
"Recording this album has been an amazing experience! After playing the songs so many times on tour, Donnie and I now had the opportunity to contribute our own sound and elements that the fans have come to love from our live performances," explained guitarist Karl Logan.
For the new narration on the spoken word track "The Warrior's Prayer MMXIV", MANOWAR joined forces with celebrated British actor Brian Blessed. Blessed is a renowned Shakespeare and character actor who has starred, among others, in Kenneth Brannagh's "Henry V", Oliver Stone's "Alexander", in "King Lear", and as Prince Vultan in the cult movie "Flash Gordon".
For special effects of the highest level on "The Warrior's Prayer MMXIV", sound effects specialist Hamilton Sterling was recruited; a Hollywood veteran who has contributed to action blockbusters, including "Batman - The Dark Knight", "Men In Black 3", "War Of The Worlds" and "Master And Commander: The Far Side Of The World", two of which won Oscars for "Best Sound Editing".
"Kings Of Metal MMXIV" was released as a 2-disc CD with two 24-page booklets and additional new art by legendary fantasy artist and longtime collaborator Ken Kelly, and as a digital double album.

MANOWAR : ‘Kingdom Come MMXIV’ Mixing Sneak Peek
A sneak peek into the mixing of "Kingdom Come MMXIV" from "Kings Of Metal MMXIV", a newly recorded special version celebrating the 25th anniversary of MANOWAR's classic album "Kings Of Metal", is available below.
The new recordings will feature guitarist Karl Logan's and drummer Donnie Hamzik's contributions, who, after having played these classic hymns many times live, will now have the opportunity to add to their legacy by including their own signature sound and performance. The new album will also feature movie and theater legend Brian Blessed ("Hamlet", "Flash Gordon") narrating "The Warrior's Prayer MMXIV".
The release of "Kings Of Metal MMXIV" is scheduled for spring 2014 and will be followed by an anniversary tour that will see MANOWAR perform the full "Kings Of Metal MMXIV" album along with their other classic metal hymns in a completely new stage production.
MANOWAR released highlights of its "The Lord Of Steel World Tour" on a live EP, featuring performances from the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Italy, Russia and Sweden. The disc was mixed and mastered at MANOWAR's own studios Hell and Haus Wahnfried by Joey DeMaio personally with longtime MANOWAR engineer Dirk Kloiber.
"The Lord Of Steel Live" was released digitally as an iTunes exclusive worldwide on July 9, and was made available on CD in retail and through TheKingdomOfSteel.com on August 16.
MANOWAR Joins Forces With Hollywood Sound Design Specialist HAMILTON STERLING
After recently working with movie and theater legend Brian Blessed ("Hamlet", "Flash Gordon"), MANOWAR has teamed up with another Hollywood veteran, sound designer Hamilton Sterling, for the song "The Warrior's Prayer MMXIV" from the band's forthcoming album, "Kings Of Metal MMXIV". Blessed had recorded the epic narration earlier this year and called it "a brilliant piece of writing" and the collaboration with MANOWAR "completely miraculous and life changing."
"Brian did a sensational job! He didn't just narrate the story. He performed it." said MANOWARbassist and producer Joey DeMaio. "When you listen to the narration, you feel like you are watching a short Hollywood movie. We instantly knew that we had to complement Brian's outstanding performance with sound effects of the same quality. We searched for another Hollywood heavyweight, and Mr. Hamilton Sterling was the perfect choice!"
Sterling is a sound effects specialist with numerous credits, including action blockbusters like"The Dark Knight", "Men In Black 3", "War Of The Worlds" and "Master And Commander: The Far Side of the World", two of which won Oscars for Best Sound Editing.
"My friend, the Grammy Award-winning audio engineer Rich Breen contacted me regardingMANOWAR's soundscape project 'The Warrior's Prayer MMXIV'," said Sterling. "In this case, a previously recorded narrative framework was in place, spoken by the excellent actor Brian Blessed, who I had seen as a young man in Robert Graves' 'I, Claudius'. His evocative performance was a marvel of emotion, and its dynamic range allowed me the space to move from the most quiet and ethereal sounds to full-on battle. His imaginative performance was an excellent guide, as was Mr. DeMaio's sense of story and direction."

Q: Hi Joey. How are you?
Joey: I am doing very well, thank you. We are currently working in the studio, finishing the mixing and mastering for "The Lord Of Steel Live"album, and listening to the recordings from these recent shows is a blast. Brings back so many great memories.
Q: We can imagine. Speaking of memories: You have remastered"Warriors Of The World" and released as a 10th-anniversary remastered edition. You must have plenty of memories about that album, too?
Joey: Too many to count or tell. There is something special about each of our albums and that is why we and our fans enjoy looking back on our material as much as we enjoy looking forward to the new material."Warriors Of The World" was the beginning of a new era. One of the many memories is Stefan Raab of Germany's "TV Total" performing with us on stage, and we also had many insane moments with German comedian Olli Pocher. And, as everyone who joined us on this tour will well remember, the "Warriors Of The World" tour in 2002 was just wild.
