"We learned that Ronnie wanted to work on a statue project before he fell ill. We are honored that Wendy Dio and his management called on us for this project," Tony Simerman, president and creative director of KnuckleBonz, Inc., stated at the time.
"It's been a real pleasure to work with Ronnie's family and the people at Niji on this project.
"I was a fan of Ronnie's very early and owned all the original RAINBOW records. I was fortunate enough to see him out in front of SABBATH. Ronnie James Dio was one of the greatest live performers I have ever seen."
KnuckleBonz creates hi-end sculpture that features rock's most highly influential artists. Dedicated to honoring rocks greatest through master artistry, KnuckleBonz established the music-based sculpture series Rock Iconz.
Artist Series Guitar will release 30 of DIO 's "Holy Diver" guitars in July. Finished with DIO's exclusive artwork and built with solid mahogany, the Dio ASG is set with artwork from the "Holy Diver" album release. Once the graphic has undergone the ASG-designed, chemical bonding process, the guitar is then clear-coated, wet-sanded and buffed. This process forever seals the custom graphic to the guitar.
With only 30 to ever be made — one to mark each year of DIO — this rare anniversary guitar is set to sell out fast. Pre-sale will begin on July 10, to mark what would have been Ronnie James Dio's 70th birthday.

A description of the illustrated paperback reads as follows: "Between genius and madness, this world and the next, there's nothing but the faintest flicker of a pulse and the cemetery gates.
"Packed with as many egos as one book can hold, 'Cemetery Gates' is the read that takes you inside the minds of the most twisted icons of heavy metal."
