So, in order to warm you up for the show, we thought it would be cool to read the comments of the band on 10 records we picked out for them. Enjoy!

1. PINK FLOYD – DARK SIDE OF THE MOON

Nick: “A universal conspiracy as the simple man would say. Production, composition, arrangement, performance at the highest level. The 9th symphony of rock. In my opinion this is the absolute reference album.”

2. APHRODITE’S CHILD – 666

Nick: “The number of the beast will never be as radiant as in this one. A creation straight from the soul that defined the theatrical psychedelia.”

Zilla: “Pagan, Zodorowsky-ish, mind changer.”

3. KING CRIMSON – IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING

Diamond: One of the best debut albums of all time! The pioneers of uniqueness delivering a musical and lyrical manifest, a soundtrack for our brave new world 45 years earlier…”

4. RUSH – 2112

Nick: “I was born in 1976 together with sci-fi,progressive rock album “2112”, by rebellious Rush whose label kept pressing for more commercial material. The result was a 20min song lol. The musical analogue to the film “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”.”

5. CAMEL – MIRAGE

Diamond: ” I remember my teenage years, when I bought this record for 3 euros… a brand new copy!!! Didn’t know what to expect, I had never heard of this band before. Sixteen years later, I’m still smoking and still whistling those powerful melodies of Lady Fantasy.”

6. THE DOORS – STRANGE DAYS

Nick: “I wish all our days were like those, we’d play the greatest songs and drink gin everyday.”

Zilla: “You could say that this is the album that overthrows Floyd from the psychedelic throne. American shamanism on LSD.”

Spyreas: “When the music’s over turn out the light. Nothing further.”

7. PORCUPINE TREE – FEAR OF A BLANK PLANET

Diamond: “The fear of the “walking records”. Back in 2007 I used to take a 45′ walk to my aunt Stella’s store in a daily basis and this particular album was the number one choice on my mp3 player. I still play “Way Out Of Here” at my DJ sets.”

8. YES – CLOSE TO THE EDGE

Diamond: ” Yes. Yes I do. Yes of course. Yes! Yes? Yes… If you can describe with words this carnage of sounds be my guest. Jazz rock avant-garde prog whatever… this is life, isn’t it?

9. JETHRO TULL – AQUALUNG

Nick: “Jethro Tull’s most successful album because it combined english folk with psychedelic rock in a unique and original set of sounds and atmosphere. It inspires contradictory emotions with God and homeless people on one side and fairytale-like harmonies on the other. The pain of being human portrayed ideally.

10. KANSAS – LEFTOVERTURE

Diamond: “The unique sound of this band combines the prog rock elements with those “catchy” vocal lines, that brings them to the pantheon of rock. Especially this album has the perfect balance between instrumentation and vocals.”
