Having one brother dead (Witold “Vitek” Kieltyka) and one friend in coma (Covan) and with serious injuries fighting for his life, we all thought that the end for Decapitated was real close… So, against all odds Vogg (guitars) not only he didn’t surrender/quit but he strikes back with a new blastful creation bearing the name of “Carnival Is Forever”.

Being inactive for a studio work for five years and with all those troubles, I have to admit that I was very curious that if Vogg could retain the high death metal standards of the band and if he could stand up in front of the challenge to revive the band. Fortunately Vogg knew his task and managed to lift the weight of the band and to produce (with the help of a new powerful line up: Filip “Heinrich” Hałucha-Bass, Kerim “Krimh” Lechner-Drums and on Vocals Rafal Piotrowski) some quality death fuckin’ metal. The album is consisted of 7 tracks + 1 instrumental (total 8 tracks) and it lasts approximately  for 42min. In those 42min. you are going to witness some serious shit that is baptized under the banner of blast, speed and full of rage. In contrast with their previous work is a little bit different but is not bad at all and we are talking for modern death metal that many bands could be jealous of out there. There are parts that is crystal clear that the spirit of Decapitated is alive and kicking ass in songs such as ”Pest”, and in some parts you are gonna listen the heart of the new line up that beats. In general musically the band is in the same mood with sharp guitars, drums that are thirsty for blast and with a new vocalist that performs his vocal duty perfectly. Actually in my opinion he fits so well that anyone could tell that he covers up the absence of Covan very good as if he was to the band for a long time. Definitely is still a positive come back in a lower level in contrast to the previous releases but makes us more hungry for the future to come.

I hope the troubles of this polish band to come to an end in order the band to continue its integral role without barriers and most importantly, without losses in the future.. All hail the come back of Decapitated.
