DEATH ANGEL Completes Mixing New Album

San Francisco Bay Area metallers DEATH ANGEL have completed mixing the follow-up to 2010's "Relentless Retribution" for an October release via Nuclear Blast Records. The band's seventh CD was tracked atAudioHammer Studios in Sanford, Florida with Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM,AUGUST BURNS RED, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, ALL THAT REMAINS, WHITECHAPEL, DEVILDRIVER) and DEATH ANGEL guitaristRob Cavestany handling production duties. The cover artwork is being created by Brent Elliot White (JOB FOR A COWBOY, CARNIFEX,WHITECHAPEL), who also worked on "Relentless Retribution". Cavestany previously stated about DEATH ANGEL's upcoming album: "'Relentless' turned out the way we wanted, so we we're taking it to the next level with the same team… We had a blast doing the last record [atAudioHammer] and now we know each other better and how well we work together.

New WHIPLASH Single ‘Sword Meet Skull, Skull Meet Sword’ Available

Veteran New Jersey thrashers WHIPLASH have released a new song from their upcoming EP titled "Old School American Way, Volume 1". The single, "Sword Meet Skull, Skull Meet Sword", was produced by WHIPLASH mainman Tony Portaro at his Concrete Island Studio. All drums were recorded and engineered by Kostadin "Mozart" Kamcev at Studio Mozart in Clifton, New Jersey. The single was mixed and mastered by Chris "Zeuss" Harris of Planet Z Recording (ALL THAT REMAINS, CROWBAR, MUNICIPAL WASTE, SUFFOCATION). With Tony Portaro (guitar/vocals) and Dank DeLong (bass) on the U.S. East Coast, and drummer Dan "Loord" Foord located in London, U.K., the band has been juggling writing and recording in between touring. DEVILDRIVER: New Album Title, Cover Artwork Revealed

Californian metallers DEVILDRIVER have set "Winter Kills" as the title of their sixth album, due on August 27 via Napalm Records. The instrumental parts for the CD were recorded at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida while the vocals were laid down at singer Dez Fafara's home studio, with Mark Lewis (THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER,WHITECHAPEL, ALL THAT REMAINS) handling production duties. The album's cover artwork features a photograph by Dean Karr. The layout was done by Ryan Clark of Invisible Creature. DEVILDRIVER previously worked with Lewis on 2011's "Beast" and 2007's"The Last Kind Words". Comments Fafara: "This is by far DEVILDRIVER's most cohesive, powerful, groove-laden record to date!
