THE HAUNTED: Entire ‘Exit Wounds’ Album Available For Streaming

"Exit Wounds", the new album from Swedish metallers THE HAUNTED, is available for streaming in its entirety using the SoundCloud widget below. Released on August 25 in Europe and September 2 in North America via Century Media. the CD was once again recorded with the group's longtime producer Tue Madsen at Denmark's Antfarm Studio (DARK TRANQUILLITY, HEAVEN SHALL BURN, SICK OF IT ALL) and features THE HAUNTED's revamped lineup: founding members Jonas Björler (bass) and Patrik Jensen (guitar) along with with returning members Adrian Erlandsson (drums) and Marco Aro (vocals), and the band's latest addition, guitarist Ola Englund. "Exit Wounds" features two special guests appearing on the song "Trend Killer": Jed Simon (SCAR THE MARTYR, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD) on lead guitar and Chuck Billy (TESTAMENT) on vocals. Said Billy: "I have always been a THE HAUNTED fan and became friends with the band over the years. When they asked if I would like to sing on a song for the new album with Marco singing, I didn't have to think twice about doing it. ILLDISPOSED Announces New Drummer

Danish extreme metallers ILLDISPOSED have announced the addition of drummer Kim Langkjaer Jensen (KOLDBORN, ex-DAWN OF DEMISE) to the group's ranks. Says the band: "Many of you may already know Kim since he has been replacing [formerILLDISPOSED drummer] Thomas [Jensen] at most of our 2013 shows." Drum-cam footage of Kim Langkjaer Jensen performing with ILLDISPOSED at this past summer's Summer Breeze festival in Germany can be seen below. Jensen announced his departure from ILLDISPOSED on October 5. The band explained in a statement that Thomas "lost his motivation to go on." ILLDISPOSED's latest album, "Sense The Darkness", entered the official chart in Denmark at position No. 78. Released on September 21, 2012 via Massacre Records, the CD was recorded at Antfarm Studio in Aabyhøj, Denmark with producer Tue Madsen (MOONSPELL, DARK TRANQUILLITY, GOREFEST, SICK OF IT ALL). The artwork was created by Mircea Gabriel Eftemie.

India’s BANGALORE OPEN AIR Loses Money Due To ‘Fake’-Ticket Controversy

According to Deccan Chronicle, around 600 people used fake tickets to attend Bangalore Open Air 2013, billed as Asia's biggest heavy metal festival. The July 6 event, which included performances by North American metallers ICED EARTH, the Swedish metal band DARK TRANQUILLITY, former EMPEROR frontman Ihsahn and Norwegian progressive metallersLEPROUS, ended up losing money after some "miscreants had very cleverly copied the genuine tickets and also the gift voucher for the event." Each ticket was priced at 2,249 rupees, or about $40. Salman Syed, one of the organizers of Bangalore Open Air, told theDeccan Chronicle "the font was different on the fake tickets," which were sold for just 1,000 rupees each. German thrashers SODOM canceled their appearance at this year's Bangalore Open Air several days prior to the event due to unspecified contractual issues with the promoters of the festival.
