CHANNEL ZERO Taps Drummer CHRIS ‘SEVEN’ ANTONOPOULOS For Upcoming Shows
Belgian/American metallers CHANNEL ZERO have tapped Chris "Seven" Antonopoulos as their new touring drummer.
Says the band in a statement: "It was clear that Roy Mayorga [STONE SOUR, ex-SOULFLY] who did an amazing job with the drum recordings of the new album, wasn't going to be the live drummer of CHANNEL ZERO.
"The remaining band members have made their decision and chosen for Seven Antonopoulos as their live drummer for the upcoming April shows.
"Seven is not a stranger to the metal scene. In the past he played with bands such as HELLAFIED FUNK CREW, OPIATE FOR THE MASSES, REVOLTING COCKS and LEAVES' EYES."
An audio sample of "Electronic Cocaine", the new single from CHANNEL ZERO, can be streamed below. The track comes off the band's forthcoming album, "Kill All Kings", which will be released on April 4 via Mostiko.

"Kill All Kings" is the the first CHANNEL ZERO LP to be recorded without drummer Phil Baheux, who passed away last August at age 45. Filling in for him during the new album recording sessions was former SOULFLY and current STONE SOUR drummer Roy Mayorga.
Baheux founded CHANNEL ZERO in 1990, along with singer Franky De Smet-Van Damme and bassist Tino De Martino. In 2010, they reformed the band with the addition of American guitarist Mikey Doling [SNOT, SOULFLY].
CHANNEL ZERO's last album, "Feed 'Em With A Brick", received a wider European release in June 2012 via Graviton Music Services.

PRIMAL FEAR Guitarist MAGNUS KARLSSON To Sit Out Tour; TOM NAUMANN To Fill In
PRIMAL FEAR guitarist Magnus Karlsson will sit out the band's upcoming touring activites during 2014 so that he can spend more time with his "little kids." Filling in for him will be PRIMAL FEAR's founding member Tom Naumann.
Says Karlsson: "My friends in PRIMAL FEAR are very understanding about my situation and for that I'm grateful."
Frontiers Records will release "Delivering The Black", the tenth studio album from PRIMAL FEAR, on January 24 in Europe and January 28 in North America.

After some very intense songwriting sessions and pre-production schedule, the band started to record the new CD in summer 2013 at the House Of Music studios in Germany, with bassist/producer Mat Sinner and engineer Achim Köhler (EDGUY, MASTERPLAN). The band then moved to Denmark in September to finish the album, with acclaimed producer/engineer Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, PRETTY MAIDS, AMARANTHE) handling the mix at his Hansen studio in Ribe.
"Delivering The Black" combines the strongest PRIMAL FEAR moments ever, with a well-balanced typical PRIMAL FEAR trademark riff vibe, crushing songs and some very ambitious musical journeys. The centerpiece of the album are two epic tracks, "When Death Comes Knocking" and the 10-minute opus "One Night In December", spiced with big orchestral arrangements and complex sound designs.
Classic and ultra-fresh PRIMAL FEAR riff-rockers like the title track, the album opener "King For A Day" or the groove monsters "Alive And On Fire" and "Road To Asylum" hit the bulls-eye just like the untamed speed killer "Rebel Faction". The outstanding ballad "Born With A Broken Heart" shows a new side of PRIMAL FEAR with an acoustic guitar vibe and the addition of Liv Kristine (LEAVES' EYES) on backing vocals.

PRIMAL FEAR's "Eagles And Lions Tour 2014" will kick off in Germany on January 24 and will include stops in 10 European countries. Support on the trek will come from Swedish hard rockers BULLET.

The effort was engineered by Achim Köhler (EDGUY, MASTERPLAN) and was produced by PRIMAL FEAR bassist Mat Sinner.

It was hard for us to imagine… because [2012's] 'Unbreakable' was a pretty tough... and really, in our ears, pretty great album, and for us, it was somehow hard to top it. But as soon as we started to write the new songs, and as soon as I heard what Mat and Magnus [Karlsson, guitar] did in the first place — because then they sent me some stuff and I added my ideas on it — I just thought, 'Wow, this is amazing.' And in the end, it really turned out to be a better album than 'Unbreakable'."
