Acclaimed vocalist Tim “Ripper” Owens (DIO DISCIPLES, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, BEYOND FEAR, JUDAS PRIEST, ICED EARTH) was forced to cancel the Brazilian leg of his current South American tour because “the Brazilian consulate would not issue me the right kind of visa!” the singer said. He added, “This is the first time this has happened to me. One person in Brazil told me to get one kind of visa then at the last minute they told me to get another which was denied!
“I am sorry and I so hope to return in 2013 with everything handled correctly and to bring a great show to all my Brazilian fans and friends!”
“I will now be adding a few shows and appearances in Argentina during his time… If you would like to book an appearance, contact pisandocables@gmail.com.”
Released in May 2009, Owens‘ first solo album, “Play My Game”, landed at position No. 66 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
