Norwegian-Spanish gothic metal band SIRENIA has entered the studio to record the follow-up to 2011’s “The Enigma Of Life” for an early 2013 release via Nuclear Blast Records.
Commented the group: “Festival season is over and it feels great to be back in the studio again.
“The progress on the new album is going very well — we feel confident that the sixth SIRENIA album will have some nice surprises up its sleeve, as we‘ve been determined to make this record somewhat different from the previous two albums.
“We have finished some recording sessions in Sound Suite Studio in France, where we tracked the choirs plus some acoustic footage. Right now we are continuing our work in Morten Veland’s Audio Avenue Studio.
SIRENIA’s latest album, “The Enigma Of Life”, was released on January 21, 2011 via Nuclear Blast Records.
The band’s “The End Of It All” video was once again directed by Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company, who has previously worked with DIMMU BORGIR, LACUNA COIL, IN FLAMES, SONIC SYNDICATE and KAMELOT, among many others.
SIRENIA recruited singer Ailyn (born: Pilar Giménez García) as the replacement for Monika Pedersen, who left the group in 2007 after only one album due to “musical differences.”
Ailyn is best known as a former contestant on the Spanish version of “The X Factor”, the biggest television talent competition in Europe.
