Gamma Ray were formed in 1989, by the power metal guru and ex-leader of Helloween, Kai Hansen. At that time, Kai Hansen decided to start his own project, by accumulating noteable and dynamic musicians around himself. Back then, Kai wasn’t planning on forming a new band but when the team entered the studio, it became obvious… Gamma Ray were born without a second thought.
After 20 years of worldwide acclaim, 9 studio albums and their 10th masterpiece being released shortly plus a lot of live shows, Gamma Ray indisputably constitute one of the most prominent bands of the german heavy metal scene, with global recognition!
