DIMMU BORGIR, MORGOTH Members Guest On CROSSPLANE Debut

German rock 'n' roll hopefuls CROSSPLANE have recruited three high-profile guest singers to appear on the band's upcoming full-length debut, "Class Of Hellhound High". Shagrath, vocalist of Norwegian black metal heroes DIMMU BORGIR and guitarist for biker rock gang CHROME DIVISION shows his rock 'n' roll skills in the song "I Will Be King"; Marc Grewe of German death metal legends MORGOTH does a nice duet with CROSSPLANE frontman Celli in"Bring The Fire"; and Sebi from MASSENDEFEKT contributes to "Dirty Woman". MASSENDEFEKT is well known in its home country of Germany for its high-octane punk 'n' roll sung in the band's native language. They have shared stages with TURBONEGRO, BROILERS and THE BOSS HOSS.

RED FANG To Release ‘Whales And Leeches’ In October

RED FANG will return this October with its third studio album titled"Whales And Leeches" on Relapse Records. For the new album, the Portland, Oregon-based group worked with producer Chris Funk(DECEMBERISTS) and mixer Vance Powell (THE WHITE STRIPES,RACONTEURS, KINGS OF LEON). This same team helmed RED FANG's last CD, "Murder The Mountains", which Alternative Press magazine hailed as "a near-masterpiece of tangled tar pit riffs and whisky-and-bong-hit vocals." The cover artwork for "Whales And Leeches" was designed by graphic artist Orion Landau and can be seen below. RED FANG return this fall with their as-yet-untitled third studio album on Relapse Records. The Portland-based group is currently in the studio finishing the disc with the producer Chris Funk (DECEMBERISTS) and mixer Vance Powell (THE WHITE STRIPES, RACONTEURS, KINGS OF LEON). This same team worked on RED FANG's last album, "Murder The Mountains", tagged by NPR as "a sleeker style of riff-heavy metal" (April 2011) and Alternative Press magazine as "a near masterpiece of tangled tar pit riffs and whisky-and-bong-hit vocals" (April 2011). Comments the band: "We're hyper excited about this new album. The basic tracks are like rabid monkeys we're wrangling at Type Foundry in our hometown of Portland.
