“Dear Slum Landlord”, the new video from British grindcore pioneers NAPALM DEATH, can be seen below. The clip was created by Costin Chioreanu of Twilight Media and includes performance footage shot by Oliver Barth of Visions In Fear.

Comments NAPALM DEATH vocalist Mark “Barney” Greenway: “Being a very queasy and deliberately monotone kind of song, we felt simplicity was the key with the video for ‘Dear Slum Landlord’. Suitably, thanks to two production people in Oliver and Costin — who really understand the contrasting elements of NAPALM DEATH — it’s simple, desolate, black and white and just that little bit grim, befitting the subject matter of interconnected housing/labour exploitation which does its best to remain hidden from view.”

“Dear Slum Landlord” is taken from NAPALM DEATH‘s 15th studio album, “Apex Predator – Easy Meat”, which was released in January 2015 via Century Media Records. The CD’s striking artwork was created by Danish designer Frode Sylthe (Friktion.com), who has previously worked on the band’s “Utilitarian” album as well as with such other acts as AT THE GATES, TOTALT JÄVLA MÖRKER, THE HAUNTED and BURST.

NAPALM DEATH and the MELVINS will join forces for the “Savage Imperial Death March Tour”, a six-week spring trek that that kicks off on March 24 at the Observatory in Santa Ana, California.

“We have been talking about doing a tour like this for a long time so we are thrilled it’s finally happening,” said NAPALM DEATH bass player Shane Embury. “Having been longtime fans and friends of the MELVINS, we are very happy to be embarking on this six-week tour of musical madness with them and MELT BANANA. Expect the unexpected!”

This isn’t the first time the two bands have collaborated. In 2004, Buzz Osborne, Shane Embury and Danny Herrera played together in VENOMOUS CONCEPT, with their debut release (“Retroactive Abortion”) out via Ipecac Recordings.
