There’s no doubt that Bullet For My Valentine is a band that pulled a lot of attention since “Poison” back in 2005. I’ve never been a huge fan but I can’t say that I don’t enjoy some of their songs. With their 4th album release “Temper Temper” they are doing their best to prove that they’re here to stay.
“Breaking Point” is a great opener with an kick ass groove that kinda made me feel very positive with whats coming up. “Temper Temper” is another catchy song with great riffs that’s worth listening to it. I was expecting more when I saw the title “Tears don’t fall (Part 2)” but it was kinda disappointing, since that was one of my favorites of “Poison”, I was expecting more. “Riot” which was released as single too isn’t the strongest link of the album and maybe a bad call for a single. “P.O.W.” and “Leech” have some nice parts but nothing so special to make me press repeat.
“Temper Temper” was not impressing all, to be honest I hoped that in this new album they would show more of their talent and they won’t try to repeat the “successful” recipe of the previews albums. The lyrics are very shallow and they come straight from an angry 13 year old that hates the world. They try to take the scepter of the best British band of their times but if they continue like that I don’t see that happening. Overall the album is pretty catchy but not one of their greatest work. I think they need more of the enthusiasm they had back in the beginning combined with some more mature ideas so they can be the undeniable leaders of new British metal bands.
