STONE SOUR has also debuted the official trailer for the “House Of Gold & Bones” comic book series, adapted from the same short story that singer Corey Taylor used as the basis for the group’s double concept album of the same name. The first record was released last fall, while“House Of Gold & Bones – Part 2” comes out April 9 — just eight days before the comic book’s debut issue arrives on April 17.

The official synopsis for the comic book reads: “Trapped in an alternate reality, the Human must make his way to the House of Gold & Bones as he is chased by a crazed mob and taunted by mysterious ally Allen. What the Human discovers on his journey will be his salvation . . . or his destruction.”

Asked whether his story ends happily for his hero, the Human, Taylor toldThe Pulse Of Radio: “That’s up to the person. The way I wrote the short story is that, you know, the Human makes his decision, what is yours? That’s kind of why I wrote that character as ambiguous as I did, is because, you know, it’s essentially, it’s the mirror. It’s us. It’s every one of us, you know. You’ve got to figure it out for yourself. He’s made its decision — do you have the strength to make yours?”

The second issue of the comic will arrive on May 22, with the publication dates of the third and fourth yet to be determined.

The first single from “House Of Gold & Bones – Part 2”, called “Do Me A Favor”, was released last month. It follows up the chart-topping single from Part 1, “Absolute Zero”. A new track from “House Of Gold & Bones – Part 2”“Gravesend”, can be streamed below.

STONE SOUR will head out next month with IN THIS MOMENT on the first-ever “Road To The Golden Gods” tour, which will lead up the fifth annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards on May 2 in Los Angeles. The trek kicks off on April 2 in Portland, Maine, wrapping up in Nashville three weeks later.
