Never one to do things by halves, STONE SOUR‘s Corey Taylor will release a “House Of Gold & Bones” four-issue comic book mini-series. The comics will include artwork from Richard P. Clark and covers by Shawn Alexander. Issue 1 will be released on April 17 and will only be available in stores in the U.S. However, you can order the comics directly from the Dark Horse web site at this location.

Taylor recently stated about the comic book series: “I wanted the music on the albums to represent the inside, the story in the story, the internal dialogue of the characters in that particular moment. The songs run parallel to the story itself, but only move the story a little bit. The music is more about giving a little background on the thought process in certain scenes.”

As previously reported, STONE SOUR will send its new single, “Do Me A Favor”, to rock radio stations on February 12. A video is already in the planning stages, with director Phil Mucci tapped to film the clip. Taylor gave The Pulse Of Radio a preview of what to expect from the song. “It’s quite aggressive, and actually the label asked me if I would go in and tame stuff down and I was like, ‘No.’ I’m not doing that,” he said. “This is going out the way it is and I’m not gonna touch it up. I’m not gonna have people looking for a song that doesn’t exist. This is the way it is on the album, that’s the way it’s going to be when we put it out to radio.”

“Do Me A Favor” is taken from “House Of Gold & Bones – Part 2”, the second half of STONE SOUR‘s ambitious double concept album.

“House Of Gold & Bones – Part 1” came out last fall, with the conclusion expected to arrive in April.

Taylor recently told Billboard.com recently that the group is planning a world tour in 2014 during which they will spend two nights in each city and perform both halves of its “House Of Gold & Bones” double album in their entirety.

In the meantime, STONE SOUR and PAPA ROACH will team up for a co-headlining U.S. tour that will kick off on January 20 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
