Sic is a thrashcore quintet hailing from the Faroe Islands and are followed by a strong biography, fans and worldwide astonishing impressions. They were formed by the guitarist Eddie Jacobsen in 2002 until the full line up gets completed in 2005 and becomes the starting spot in Sic’s career.
Pandemonium is the band’s first full-length release which includes 13 tracks, all between groovy, melodic and catchy tunes where the metalcore element prevails. But there is something more in Sic’s music that makes them differ from the other bands of the genre. The have nothing to do with the trendy, crystal-like, triggered production which makes a mediocre band glow even if it’s tracks lack uniqueness, but what they most paid attention to is their pure musical inspiration, which may not label them as “one of the kind” but definitely ranks them to the top of the kind.
Although it is difficult for me to distinguish the one track from the other since I became instantly a big fan of the whole album, at least I could mention that songs like: “Done Pretending”, “Rosegarden In Hell” and “To Dare To Risk To Regret” are some of the few that were the reason I decided to order it.
Sic are currently preparing for their big European tour which starts tomorrow so don’t forger to visit their website and check if any show close to your area is available and also go and check their kickass videos at: http://www.youtube.com/sicofficial
