Suicidal Angels are like a machine that has started and nothing can’t stop it. In the last 5 years they have released 4 studio albums, they have toured with some of the greatest thrash bands of all time, their live performances are getting better and better as time passes, and their music is improving in every album. Their new album entitled “Bloodbath” is the proof of what I was saying above.
“Bloodbath” is a furious thrash metal album that releases tons of adrenaline and energy. There are no surprises in this album. Just pure thrash metal. The ones that have listened to the band before know more or less what they are going to hear. From the first song of the album, the title track, until the last one, “Bleeding Cries”, a thrash storm is released through your speakers. We are talking about a classic Suicidal Angels record, with songs that will create hell in the mosh pits. Although you will not find big changes in “Bloodbath” than in their previous record, “Dead Again”, it is obvious that the band is evolving and improving the quality of their music in every record. Both the fast songs in this album like “Torment Payback” in which I liked a lot the Swedish influence in some parts, “Skinning The Undead”, “Moshing Crew”, and the mid-tempo songs like “Chaos (The Curse Is Burning Inside)” and “Legacy Of Pain” where the great Karl Willets of Bolt Thrower makes a guest appearance, sound very good. It is obvious that the band has worked a lot for this record. “Bloodbath” also has a very good production.
The Greek scene is full of great bands that play very good music in every subcategory of metal. Suicidal Angels are one of them! They released another killer record in less than 2 years after their previous one, and after a lot of touring. I hope that they continue that way.
